Falafel








Ingredients
2 cups of dry chickpeas/garbanzo beans
1 chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
3-5 cloves garlic
1 1/2 tbsp flour or chickpea flour
1 3/4 tsp salt
2 tsp cumin
1 tsp ground coriander
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Vegetable oil for frying

 

Recipe Rhyme

First place fava beans in a large pot

Add filtered water above the beans then cover the top

Let the beans soak in water for 8 hours

Drain the beans before they go sour

Combine the beans, red onion, parsley, cilantro, dill, garlic, coriander, salt and cumin in a food processor

Process it to a dough like texture

Heat a skillet over medium measure

Add sesame seeds to the skillet
Cook it until toasted for about 5 minutes

Transfer it to a large bowl
Shape the fava bean mixture into a ball
Roll the seeds to cover the mixture
Fill a sauce pan with a quarter full of oil over a medium hot sensor
Fry fava bean balls in batches until it has a golden brown texture
For 3 to 5 minutes says the detector
Drain the Falafels on a paper towel then eat with pleasure!
