Ingredients
1 cup dry milk powder
3 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons ghee butter
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup warm milk
Chopped almonds
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 quart vegetable oil
Directions
Add the milk powder, flour, and baking powder, almonds, melted ghee and a pinch of cardamom to a large bowl.
Mix well then pour in the milk then stir to blend it.
Cover and let rest for 20 minutes.
In a skillet stir together the 1 1/4 cups of sugar, 7 fluid ounces of water, 1 teaspoon of rose water and a pinch of cardamom. Bring to a boil, and let simmer for a minute. Set aside.
Knead the dough and form into small balls.
Add the vegetable oil to the skillet over medium low heat
Add 1 or 2 batches of the dough and let fry over low heat.
Within 5 minute the dough will float and you will flip them until both sides are golden.
Once they are golden add them to the syrup and let sit for an hour.
Can be served warm or cold!
